Created marketing and development plans for stalled neighborhoods in Rock Barn County Club & Spa.
Completed comprehensive market analysis of Rock Barn Country Club & Spa and the surrounding real
estate market in Catawba County. Met and interviewed local real estate brokers and builders as part of
analysis to gain their perspective of Rock Barn. Upon completion of market analysis, created marketing and
development plans to help facilitate vacant land sales, speculative homes and existing inventory of single
family homes and townhomes. The marketing plan included redesigning real estate office into an updated
onsite Sales Center complete with Community Presentation Room featuring a community map, pictorial
history and overview of community and an interactive TV to highlight the community and surrounding
area. Oversaw the creation and design of all marketing materials to help promote Rock Barn to prospective
clients as well as the outside broker community. Laid out a short term and long term marketing plan which
included creating ads for billboards, local magazines, national magazines, local newspapers, redesigning
the website, internet advertising, attending regional real estate shows, as well as joining the local real estate
association and becoming an active member of the Chamber of Commerce. Cultivated and rebuilt
relationships with local real estate brokers that were previously damaged or non-existent. Planned and
organized community events and open houses to re-engage the outside brokers. Recruited local builders to
become part of a Featured Builder program to begin construction of spec homes that were in step with the
local real estate demands. Created pricing policies for all current real estate inventory. Implemented
development plan which entailed re-platting existing neighborhood to smaller size home sites to meet the
local real estate market demands. Oversaw the redesign of all utilities (water, sewer, electric and gas) to
meet the needs of the redesigned neighborhood. Met with local officials to keep them abreast of all changes
to gain their approval for changes to existing approved development plans. The biggest obstacle in the
development plan was the lack of high speed internet to certain areas of Rock Barn. These areas had no
reliable service since the development began and local service providers were quoting as much as $350,000
to install these services. Met with local businesses and built relationships and was able to convince Charter
Spectrum to install high speed internet at no cost to developer. Worked closely with HOA boards to help

facilitate better communication and relationships and help them to devise solutions to any community
issues. Volunteered to become the club’s Membership Director, since real estate and membership work
hand in hand and the club was stagnant in new membership. Developed and implemented a new member
program to help recruit and retain new members. Planned and organized club events, oversaw the design
and creation of membership marketing materials. Met monthly with social and membership committee’s to
review events, member feedback, new programs and increase member participation for club events. Signed
up over 80 new members since taking over position in February. Launched a text messaging system to
create better communication with membership as well as create kid friendly programs to help attract
