COVER LETTER & OBJECTIVETo whomever has been charged with reading the vast array of cover letters and resumes,My name is Kyle Neugin. I have been around hospitality all my life; having grown up cooking and hosting with my grandmother. I have a passion for ensuring that people enjoy coming into my home, eating the food I’ve cooked, drinking the drinks that I’ve crafted and watching the terrible series finale of Game of Thrones or playing a highly inappropriate game of Cards Against Humanity. I feel the same sense of responsibility to the guests that come into the bar or restaurant I work. I work where I work because I believe in the food/drink/atmosphere as such: “welcome to my home” will always be my approach to hospitality.I’ve been in the industry for around 7 years. I have been apart of the opening staff of 4 restaurants and was in charge of training and managing 3 of those. I’ve written training manuals for 2 companies and I am fairly adequate at implementing training programs -through comprehensive teaching as well as leading by example. I’m a fantastic server and a knowledgeable bartender and I can likely sell you the shoes on your feet.I’ve been managing since I was in high school as a stage manager with 8 productions, including being the youngest stage manager of a full length production of Angels in America (it was a 7 hour production, working under a professional director) my freshman year of college. I was shift supervisor at 16 at the local Quiznos and was offered AGM of the first restaurant I worked at. I have a knack for leading that has given me the opportunity to coach debate, to help a company train its opening staff members of two of its ventures, to manage 3 restaurants, and take on bar managing AGM responsibilities. I also have an obsession with knowing everything I can at a particular job in order to be able to be useful in any way. Be it payroll or the POS being used, I sit and teach myself everything I can in order to better myself in my current position.I am looking to be challenged and grow in my career. Ideally I am looking for an General or Assistant General Manager position in a company that is looking for someone that will put in the work and will care more than enough about the product given, the service received, and the experience that will bring your guests back.EXPERIENCETIME OUT MARKET – BOSTON March 2019-June 2019MARKET MANAGERTasked with brainstorming and writing standard operating procedures for a unique 23,000ft2 , 15 restaurant, 2 bar food hall (everything from ICE procedures to training schedules).Find, recruit, interview local talent Responsible for the POS unique to Time Out Market called TevalisMASA TEQUILA BAR AND LATIN KITCHEN February 2018-February 2019BARTENDER/SERVERBartend and work with service staff and vendors to provide high-quality dining experiences for our.
