Are you looking for a job with more action? This foodservice management company is looking for a motivated and experienced Kitchen Manager.
The Kitchen Manager is directly responsible for the hands on leadership and successful operation of the food production within their assigned location. The position is responsible for the various tasks involved in the overall operation of the kitchen and the management of the company’s/brand’s culinary program. This includes management of the staff, food quality and presentation, menu development, measuring business trends and maximizing sales/profitability by developing staff and by controlling expenses, shortages and all aspects of inventory control, including but not limited to purchasing and receiving of product.
The position reports directly to the Director of Operations/General Manager of the assigned location.
Required for this exciting position:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Culinary with minimum five (5) years of experience in Food/Beverage operations or related industry and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Full Service and/or Quick Service restaurant experience preferred
- Demonstrates an understanding of operating a food and beverage business
- Demonstrates leadership/organizational skills while building and managing a team
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and be able to interface effectively with all levels of management in the field and at the corporate support center
- Proven ability to effectively manage conflict/uncomfortable situations involving clients, customers, peers and direct reports and ensure successful outcomes
- Work under pressure and deal with high stress situations while exercising sound judgment and decision making
- Ability to effectively influence through knowledge, relationship management, and trust
- Ability to conduct gap analysis between desired and current state of expressed goals, based on business planning, knowledge of basic business operations, employee satisfaction, consumer satisfaction, and marketing effectiveness
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Effective organizational maturity to prioritize daily, weekly, monthly and yearly activities
- Use sound business judgment to increase sales and operating profits
- Effective organizational and planning skills
- Food Handlers Permit as required by law
- Brand certification as required
- Ability to be proactive and self?directed with an enthusiastic outlook.
- Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks
